Who likes coffee? If you do not need a fancy machine then this one is for you. Our house has 2 different machines due to the uniting of my brothers living with us now. I like one coffee brand and they like a different one, hence the two different brewers. My brother and I had a Mr Coffee (in next review) one and then we had another one. Can not remember the name of the brand because when it died it was long before I started this blog. But 8 months ago I had to get a new one. So I went out there into the world of stores to start my hunt. Well at Walmart I found another Mr Coffee but at the time I did not have the funds for it so I spotted this little one made by Rival and found that it was a 12 cup brewer. Wow it looked like half the size of the Mr. Well it was under $10.00 and I thought it was just for me so I would get it. My son (21 at the time) said mom that one is not going to last. Well for the price it was worth the stores 30 day trial period. So I bought it. Used it the day I brought it home. Wow it did a good job for a little guy. Its only gadget was one button to turn it on and off. Just right for me. Brewed a whole pot and took 3 hrs to drink most of the coffee in that pot. Was hot to the last drop. I was impressed. But wait ! Would it last? Well it has been 8 months and the little coffee pot is still going strong. I have tested it leaving the pot on the maker for most of the day checking it every now and then just to make sure it did not burn the house down and do you know the coffee was still just as hot as if I had just brewed it.
I would say best little coffee maker for the price.
Side note: I like using the permanent filter reviewed above. Saves more money. Read directions how to remove the filter/coffee compartment so you do not break it. Once you know how to open it, then it is real easy to operate.
