I have a hair tool review for you now and yes from the
VoxBox (reviewed a few below) again. This one is known as the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin. This is a tool made to help hold your up do or buns in place without bobby pins. They can be hid with the hair and 2 of them hold like a bunch of bobby pins eliminating the need for a ton of bobby pins sticking in your hair do and showing.
I have been wanting to try these for a while now but we all know how we feel about spending
$7.29 (per Goody) for something that may not work. That can add up in expense and fill your junk drawers with useless products going to waist. My thoughts exactly with my baby fine hair I just knew I did not want to take that risk.

I do have to say after seeing these in my box to try I got excited. First thing I did (after my un-boxing pictures were all taken), I twirled up my hair into a bun on the back of my head and put one in just as the directions said to. Now I can not lie. The first 3 times I attempted this the Spin Pins did fall out, but I wanted to give it my honest hardest try. So I tried a 4th time and guess what?! One pin held in place. Now the bun was a little on the loose feeling side but it held. I have a little tomboy in me and can be on the move a bit so I just left the one pin holding in place for a few hours and went about my daily life. I was moving around quite a bit let me tell you. Not like riding in the back of a pickup truck but enough I though would shake that pin loose, but it held. So what I am saying is that these Spin Pins need practice to learn how to work them but once you get it then its second nature and they work great. To hold baby fine hair in a bun with just one of these is amazing. Now if you have thick hair you might need more that the two in the pack but without having thick hair I can not be sure, but even if you need 4 to hold thick hair it is still worth the price and benefits. Benefit? No pressure points on the head like bobby pins can sometimes cause. I will say every now and then while spinning them into your bun or up do, you can catch a hair or two and feel the pulling effect but not enough to get me to stop using them.
I like this idea. Spin pin. Who would have ever thought such a crazy little gadget would be so good.

So is the Goody Spin Pin a winner? I have to say yes it is. I use one most days but going out and want more secure hold, then I will use both just to make sure.
Can be bought in many local department and drug stores.
