The Branding Iron Grill

 Another restaurant in Dayton, Texas but after all that is where I live so I would rate this one first. lol. The Branding Iron Grill has good food too and good prices. Do not let the outside of the building fool you due to it does not have a restaurant look but it is one. I have liked all I have eaten here too. I have to admit I have not gone to this one as much due to I did not know it was there for a long time but now we go often. One thing I do have to warn you about, if you do not like heavy garlic then make sure you order regular mash potatoes. If you do not say that then you will get the Garlicy kind. I am not big on garlic and that is why I say this. The menu has a lot of choices on it and all I can say is that I have only tried a few different things but what my hubby and I have eaten here has been very tasty and good. It is an all non-smoking place but it does not bother me. I just sit out front after dinner and have me a smoke. Texas Kountry Kitchen

 Now this restaurant is in Dayton, Texas but after all that is where I live so I would rate this one first. lol. It is called the Texas Kountry Kitchen (yes they spell it that way). Really good food and a good price too. Not a real fancy decor, I go there in shorts and t-shirt most of the time to eat. They make you feel welcome and the menu is simple. You can order anything on the menu anytime of day. Their hours are a little funny but still worth a stop in. Seven days a week 6 am to 3 pm. My hubby and I go there a lot and have enjoyed everything we have ordered and every visit. It is one of the few restaurants left that has one side smoking and the other non-smoking and a doorway is all that is open between both sides so the non-smokers are not bothered by us smokers. Be ready to eat, the portions are good size. I am always full when I leave and that is without desert. I love their biscuits and gravy and the grilled pork chops oh and the smoked chicken and....... I can go on and on. Their fries are between skinny fast food kind and steak fries. Just the right size. And everyone including the locals smile and say hi. Nice warm feeling this place has. They are located at 313 N. Main St. Dayton, Texas 77535. So worth the money and the atmosphere.
