Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque

Anti stress! I will try anti stress anything. With all a person goes through in daily life, those little products that can help us relax are great if they work. So this is my next review, a mask that is both cleansing and relaxing. It is the Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Masque from my Influenster VoxBox. It is for normal, dry, and T-zone skin types. It help to hydrate and moisturize your facial skin all while being relaxing at the same time. It also deeply cleans your pores.

The best use of this mask is to cleanse your face with warm water only then apply evenly all over face and neck avoiding the eyes and lips. Lay back and relax for 10 to 15 minutes while the mask dries. Once dried, rinse with warm water and pat dry. Use weekly.

Now these masks come in many forms from peel to creams and in many scents and flavors. Yes flavors. The one I am reviewing for you here is the Chocolate Masque and what person does not like chocolate. Now you can not eat it but the smell is soothing and no calories or sugars to go to the hips. lol.
My thoughts on this mask are good. It was very easy to apply and smelled great. I was relaxed and enjoyed the feeling. It did have a slight tightening effect also. Now when it came time to rinse it off, it did take a little effort to remove all of the mask but did not leave any residue. My skin was softer and looked more perky. The cost on average is $2.00 and I feel it is worth it. It did what it states it will do and the bonus is that I was able to get 2 uses out of one 0.7 oz package. I would like to try some of their other masks.

These mask are not tested on animals and are vegetarian approved.

These can be purchased at http://www.montagnejeunesse.com/ or Walgreens and Walmart.

No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream

Now for my review on the No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream Normal/ Dry. I have also been using this product for about 3 weeks. Another sample size 0.33-oz tube from my VoxBox (reviewed earlier). To be applied after the No7 cleansing lotion, (reviewed just below this review), but before you go to bed. This moisturizing cream is meant to help restore the skin while you sleep and waking to soft smooth skin. It also helps to make the skin look younger and has helped to lessen my crows feet around my eyes.

This is also a No7 product that a little goes a long way. It has a very light scent and goes on without any sticky or gooey feeling. The skin just drinks it all in leaving nothing to get on your pillows while you sleep. So no worries about that.

How to Use
Use at night after cleansing and toning the skin. Spread a small amount between the hands and massage into the face and neck, using upward movements. Avoid the eye area. I sometimes just dab it on until it is all dabbed into the skin.

Full size is 1.6-oz at the cost of $20.99 and remember this is a rich moisturizing cream that a little goes along way so start out small and then adjust according to your skin and preference.

How to Use
Use at night after cleansing and toning the skin. Spread a small amount between the hands and massage into the face and neck, using upward movements. Avoid the eye area.

Now that nagging question - Is it worth the money? My honest thoughts are yes it is. This is one buy I feel you will not regret.

I also have to say their products are not tested on animals. They test their products on millions of women and men who trust boots, to ensure each and every product provides the desired results before offering into stores. They also test on different skin types and in different environmental conditions.

This product is Hypo-allergenic

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion

No7 is hypo-allergenic and dermatologically tested.

This review is about a skin care product called No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion. I also received this in my VoxBox (reviewed earlier). It is a very easy nourishing product for your skin. A little will go a long way so start out small and adjust accordingly. I have been using the 1 oz size bottle for about 3 weeks now and I have to say my skin is looking and feeling much better. I had some very dry skin around my nose area and between my eyebrows and after using this cleansing lotion and their night cream (review next) those areas are almost gone. The scent is mild and does not linger or smell bad. It also does a really good job cleaning your face of all the dirt collected during a day. I even will sometimes wash my face with it twice in one evening.

                                  How to Use:
This wipe-off cleanser is creamy and moisturizing therefore no water is required as part of your facial routine. Best applied to dry skin, massage upward and across the skin using cotton or wool, avoiding the eye area, and wipe off.

I would have to say that for the 6.7-oz bottle at $8.49 and the small amount needed to cleanse the face, the moisture it puts back into the skin, and the ease of use, it is worth the money.

I also have to say their products are not tested on animals. They test their products on millions of women and men who trust boots, to ensure each and every product provides the desired results before offering into stores. They also test on different skin types and in different environmental conditions.

Not Your Mother's Hair Care Products

Not Your Mother's Hair care products

I have another hair product review here for you. I received this product in my Influenster  VoxBox (reviewed below). It is called - NOT YOUR MOTHER’S KINKY MOVES CURL DEFINING HAIR CREAM. Now I do not have curly hair at all but still decided to give it a try due to it claims to eliminate frizz and flyaway’s. With my baby fine straight hair and the fall and winter months, I do get a lot of frizz and flyaway’s.

First let me give you some info on the product then I will tell you how it preformed. It is infused with Grape seed and Jasmine. It has a very light, fresh, nice scent, and is very easy to use. Almost to easy. If you have curly hair, just shampoo, towel dry, apply and saturate damp hair but use just a little at a time. I have found that a little goes a long way. Scrunch curls then style as normal - air dry or blow dry. You will find smooth long lasting curls all day. If you have straight hair do not scrunch just apply and then style the way you like.

Now on my straight baby fine hair it worked pretty darn good. I was surprised. So many products out there that I have tried and many I will admit I have yet to try but this one worked. My hair was in more control than it has been in ages. I think it even added a little fullness too. I think this one should get a thumbs up from me. I do like it and another note, it does not weight the hair down or make it look greasy and the second day it still looks fairly good and maintained.
All 6 Travel Size Set $10.00 Reg. $18.00 or $3.00 each.

The curl defining hair cream is the only product of theirs that I have used so far but I do like it. In the near future I am going to attempt to try some of their other products and I will review those for you also.

They do not contain any animal products.

Their full sized 4-oz bottle is $6.00 and they have a trial size of 1.5-oz for $3.00 or you can try their special pictured in this review (price below picture).

Rompus Words - An online game

Ok fellow review watchers, I have an online pc game review for you. It is called Rompus Words. It is a lot like Scrabble, so you know it is easy to learn and play, but has a ton of twists and additions. The unique thing about this game is you play it solo, yes solo and you better get the highest score you can because your friends are doing the same and you want to top their scores. You have a week to do it and a bunch of ways to get there too.

Not only do you have the regular tiles with point values attached to them but you also have silver = double regular point values, and gold tiles = triple the regular tile point values are given to you at different times and levels of the game. There are bonus squares on the board that range from 2L (double letter) to 3W (triple word) and some new ones like mystery squares marked with ? mark that when played on drop gems and coins on the board too. Collect both to help you win the game. Playing the game is free itself but there is a section of special bonuses you do need coins for. Lets just say that there is a 5 times the word square - can you find it? Your friends can help you or hold you back, but you can do the same. Just remember not to attack that much or it can backfire on you. lol.

Another nice feature is that you have a recall button when you press it, all your letters come back to the tray that you just played on that turn if the word was not a good one so you do not have to remove them one by one. So there are many features that give this game some twist and turns of difference and has a lot to offer. Even game pause is great. You can leave the game for as long as you need and return to continue just where you left it. You are given 50 plays to achieve the highest score each game and the game keeps track of all the scoring. On thing that I think would make this game even better is if there were levels such as 20, 35, and 50 plays within this game. 50 plays can sometimes seem a bit much. All in all it is a fun game to play especially when you are the only one on line or wanting to play. I give this game a thumbs up.

StarLooks Starbox September 2012

September Box
I just received my second Starlooks Star Box and have played with the products inside. I am ready to do a review for the September box. Yes this is the subscription service I reviewed last month and is $15.00 a month. This box came in white with a pretty grey ribbon on it. Wrapped in grey tissue paper there was the usual piece of crystal stone, information cards about the products, specials, and the monthly products themselves, but not just 3-4 products, this time there were 6 and a half. I will explain all the products in order of use and the half product also, down below.

Clear primer

First there is the iP20 primer in clear for the eyes. Now in the container it looks white but it goes on clear. You only need a little dab for each eye so this small jar of primer will go a very long way. It is meant to be just a tiny bit tacky on the eye lid. If it is shinny and very tacky, you used to much. The little tiny dab will cover the whole eye lid, eye brow and below the lower lashes to help give all your eye products some staying power and help pop those colors vividly. Trust me the staying power is there and I am one that forgets I have makeup on and touches my face a lot, but after 10 hours my shadow and liner look just as fresh as when I first applied them. I love this primer.

From left to right-gold, white, pink, purple, green
The 5 piece eye shadow set has a lot of shimmer in each color. The colors are, (from left to right) Gold, White, Pink, Purple, and Mint Green. They can be worn alone or with any other eye shadow colors or types to enhance or change the colors. Now I love the colors by themselves so I have not tried the mixing of them with any of my other shadows I already have. (Did mix the next day, picture lower part of this page.) They are bright and pretty pastels that are a little hard to tell the colors apart on my light skin tone, but you can see it. I love them. I have used mostly the first four and have not tried the green as of yet. Without the primer they are less vibrant but still pretty.

See the stone as a nose ring lol
Now the half product. Lol. StarLooks was also kind enough to include a little vial of round eye gems. There are 3 colors of these (white, gold, & pink) and there were 16 of them in my box. They go on with a dab of eye lash glue and if you do not have that I would think a small dab of Elmer’s glue would work too. I had to take mine off when I removed my makeup. They stayed. Also to get the glue off so you can reuse them, just roll them around between your fingers a bit and they are good as new. As you can see in the pictures I also used one of the gems to fake a nose ring. Just had to. You have to have a little fun in life. Lol

As you can also see I used my eye shadow brush and eye liner from last months box, my brown brow liner (due to the StarLooks one is a tad to dark for my brows), mascara, and 2 other brushes to help do my brows, to apply this look. I use them regularly.
This was all I used on my eyes

So once again the big question - is this monthly subscription worth the $15.00 a month? Due to these economic times I have to say - if you can spare it monthly, for sure it is. If StarLooks keeps up the great work with these boxes, by far may turn out to be the best subscription out there. I love them.

Pinks and purples - golds and greens mixed with StarLooks eye shadows
They also have products you can order from their site separately and guess what - if your order is under 10 pounds weather its one product or a few, if its under you get free shipping And you earn points for every dollar you spend with them in their Starbox points program. 100 points gets you 10 STAR DOLLARS toward your next purchase. Wow another great thing from StarLooks.com. You can also get a free makeup bag for referring just one person - at checkout have them put your name in the referral box or give a Starbox subscription as a gift and put your own name in the referral box and still get the bag. It just keeps getting better.

This Star Box program is $15.00 a month and below I have some info directly from their web site about it and I would go on their site and read the F A Q section. I found that it had answers to everything I could think to ask about their program and products. They also have a Youtube channel that shows how to use their products too.www.youtube.com/starlooksmd   They are also for any skin tones, animal friendly, contain no lead, and are emollient free.

I would say if you can afford $15.00, it is worth it to me from what I can see. None of the products made my face break out or itch.

MOR Lip Delight Baume Pour Les Levres

This lip balm comes in an oval green tin and is in the scent of apples. The smell dose not smell exactly like apples but the scent is very nice. It is made of all natural ingredients that are listed on the back of the tin so please read to make sure there is not anything that could cause a allergic reaction. It is a product that is not tested on animals either. You only need to use a little bit on your lips to get the full effect and there is no taste at all. I have used this product for over a month now and my lips are very soft and without chapping. I can not wait until the winter months when my lips chap the most to try this and see if it still keeps my lips soft and without chapping. I will provide a winter update once I have used it during wintertime. I must say this product is a very good lip balm and does the job well so far.

StarLooks Star Box

What is this? It is a monthly program that is pretty cool. The Star Box that I received was beautifully presented. It came in a white shipping envelope with a sleek black box inside. The box had a pretty light blue ribbon tied around it. Inside the box, everything is nice, clean, boxed or packaged, and all wrapped in nice tissue paper. What's in the box? Well. In the box that I received there were 3 full sized makeup products and a nice white crystal stone for good vibes and an info card. The info card says that you can follow them for updates and such on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. Also on the other side it says "Don't forget to check out our LOOKSBOOK for tips on how to wear the products in this months STARBOX.

I am going to review all 3 products here at the same time due to it was a package deal so I am reviewing it as a Star Box. The first is a small Precision 813 eye makeup brush that is real nice. I love it because it is very soft on the face but still firm enough to get that detailed work done. It does not shed at all and the long handle is good for reaching the opposite side of your face if needed without switching hands.

Next was the Diamondline eye pencil in the color Myth. This pencil lines the eyes with ease. Goes on creamy and easily without smudging and makes a fine line if you want. The color is a dark forest green with a grey tint to me and it is perfect for my light but not pale skin tone. The browns just look funny and the blacks are to dark. This was just the right shade for lining my eyes. I love this one and will definitely get another when this one is gone.

And last but not least, the Neutral eye shadow in the color of Caricature. I thought with my light skin tone this one would show up as a nice lid kind of color, but to my surprise it was much lighter than that. I put it all over my eye lid and brow bone and still had to add a darker color to the outer corners to show I had shadow on. I do like it but will be using this one as a highlight brow bone shadow. I also like that there is a hidden compartment below the shadow that has the applicator and a mirror in it.

This Star Box program is $15.00 a month and below I have some info directly from their web site about it and I would go on their site and read the F A Q section. I found that it had answers to everything I could think to ask about their program and products.
